
Production Coordinator

Overview The Production Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing production by leading a team in a custom-engineered manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include coordinating workflows, setting priorities, delegating tasks, training staff, and ensuring timely completion of work orders to meet client demands.
Responsibilities Oversee daily scheduling, job delegation, and execution by leading a team of hourly employees.
Interpret and communicate work orders, drawings, and production requirements.
Set daily output expectations and track estimated versus actual hours.
Manage shop floor inventory and reduce rework.
Optimize fabrication/assembly methods for efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with leadership to align goals and maximize output.
Promote and enforce safety practices and company standards.
Foster a team-based approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Ensure employee performance meets expectations through direct supervision and shop floor presence.
Qualifications Education: high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Experience: two–four years of supervisory experience and three–seven years of production experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing field preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Shop Track, Infor (CSI), or another SAP system in addition to Microsoft Office products.
Ability to communicate, train, and lead others effectively.
Leadership Responsibilities This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel Requirements This position does not require travel.
