
Communications Coordinator

Coordinator to join our dynamic public relations team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter
with proficient written communication skills, possess excellent customer service abilities, and
thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in
managing communications between our organization and its publics, working closely with clients
and the marketing department to create and implement effective public relations strategies. The
role involves crafting various PR and marketing materials, planning events, conducting media
pitching, and monitoring campaign success. The candidate must be available outside of office
hours for events and emergencies related to clients, with a keen ability to research and tie
client's media campaigns to current events for maximum impact.
Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clients and the marketing team to develop
comprehensive public relations strategies that align with client objectives and
organizational goals.
Creative Campaigns: Infuse creativity into media campaigns, ensuring unique and
engaging approaches to capture the target audience's attention and generate interest in
client offerings.
Written Communication: Produce compelling and error-free public relations and
marketing materials, including media pitches, press releases, blog posts, newsletters,
fact sheets, and social media posts.
Media Pitching: Utilize expertise in media relations to pitch stories and secure media
coverage for clients across various platforms, including print, broadcast, online, and
influencers.
Event Planning and Production: Plan and execute successful events, from
conceptualization to logistics, to create memorable experiences that align with clients'
brand image and objectives.
Research and Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of current events, industry trends, and
media landscapes to integrate client campaigns seamlessly with relevant news and
topics.
Lead Generation (Preferred): Demonstrate proficiency in lead generation techniques and
strategies to support client acquisition and growth.
Crisis Communications: Assist in developing crisis communication strategies and
Monitoring and Reporting: Gauge the success of public relations campaigns using
relevant metrics and provide detailed reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
Social Media Management: Collaborate with the social media team to align PR efforts
with social media strategies and maintain consistent messaging across all platforms.
Client Relations: Foster strong client relationships through effective communication,
understanding their needs, and delivering results that exceed expectations.
Requirements Proven experience in media pitching, press releases, event planning, and producing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and
creativity.
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Availability outside of office hours for client events and emergencies.
Familiarity with lead generation strategies is a plus.
