Overview:
The Sports & Entertainment Social Media Manager will lead and execute the social media strategy for the Sports & Entertainment vertical as part of the Marketing Department, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Sports & Entertainment. This role owns social channel management, the content calendar, and community engagement, driving culturally relevant storytelling that connects the brand with sports fans, entertainment audiences, partners, and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced, event‑driven environments and has a strong pulse on sports and entertainment culture.
The impact you'll make:
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Sports & Entertainment business objectives and marketing campaigns.
Own and manage the Sports & Entertainment content calendar, ensuring timely, consistent, and high‑impact posting.
Create, curate, and publish compelling content (copy, graphics, short‑form video, live coverage) across Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Lead real‑time social coverage during live sporting events, entertainment activations, partnerships, and key cultural moments.
Write engaging, platform‑optimized copy that reflects brand voice while resonating with sports and entertainment audiences.
Manage day‑to‑day community engagement, including monitoring comments, DMs, and trending conversations.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, creative, partnerships, PR, and brand teams to align messaging and campaign execution.
Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth, video views, CTR) with actionable insights.
Identify and leverage emerging trends, viral moments, and partnership opportunities to increase reach and engagement.
Support athlete, artist, influencer, and sponsorship activations through coordinated social promotion and campaign oversight.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
3–5 years of experience in social media management, preferably within sports, entertainment, media, or lifestyle brands.
Proven experience managing brand social channels and content calendars.
Strong understanding of sports culture, entertainment trends, and digital fan engagement.
Experience covering live events and real‑time content publishing.
Proficiency in major social platforms and social management tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Analytical mindset with experience using social media reporting tools.
Creative thinker with the ability to translate cultural moments into engaging brand content.
Experience working with athletes, entertainers, influencers, or sponsorship partners.
Familiarity with paid social strategy and boosting content.
Experience with short‑form video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.).
Knowledge of NIL, sponsorship activations, and sports marketing campaigns.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends for live events.
Base pay range: $72,500.00 – $75,789.00 per year.
