Technical Writer (OB AMXG) Days

$49,961.60 annually Exempt Day Shift Job Summary The Business Analyst provides technical writing and analysis functions as a technical writer and non-conformance resolution analyst. Minimum Requirements And Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a Secret Clearance and be able to obtain one. Associate's degree preferred. Must be familiar with Air Force Instructional, Joint Technical Data, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) Documents. 3-5 years' experience. Good organizational skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good research skills. Strong work ethic. Strong computer skills, with at least 3 years' experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Responsibilities Performs non-conformance resolution coordination through the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) system and engineering systems including Lightning II Information Support Tool (LIST) for F35 and other systems. Receives requests, gathers and analyzes information, obtains measurements, and drafts detailed submissions for non-conformance resolution On Site. Works with mechanics and other relevant personnel to gather information, including moving around aircraft. Analyzes, interprets, categorizes and electronically inputs information into Government database systems. Applies DoD, Air Force and command-specific logistics policies and regulations, and develops recommendations for changes and updates. Develops a strong understanding of MRO's data structure, reports and capabilities. Responds to MRO within 4 business hours, communicates and obtains information as needed. Updates the engineering database(s) with submissions, within the time frames. Monitors LIST and engineering systems for notifications and hand-offs of engineering dispositions between production and other teams and notifies the GR of non-standard production delays. Completes final closeout for individual engineering assistance. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions The working conditions will mostly be in a well-lit, air-conditioned shop environment. 50% in office and 50% on shop floor working with mechanics and completing paperwork. Physical Requirements This position must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. as well as have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Physical requirements of the position may also include, but are not limited to, bending, twisting, lifting, and climbing on aircraft.
