POSITION PURPOSE The Marketing Associate, Upstream Marketing plays a key role in advancing the Environment of Care (EoC) portfolio strategy at PDI Healthcare. This position supports the Director of Upstream Marketing in executing on new product development (NPD) initiatives, market research, and portfolio development - while also owning the operational and executional workstreams that keep complex product launches moving forward. This is a high-visibility role offering direct exposure to upstream marketing strategy, cross-functional product development teams, and the full product lifecycle. The right candidate will quickly develop ownership of discrete projects and grow into broader upstream marketing responsibilities over time. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Strategic Support & Market Intelligence Support the development and execution of EoC portfolio strategy by supporting market research, competitive analysis, and customer insight gathering Assist in the development of business cases for new product introductions, contributing data analysis and market findings that inform go
o-go decisions Help represent the voice of the customer in cross-functional product development discussions, supporting the Director in requirements definition and stakeholder alignment New Product Development Execution Support marketing deliverables for NPD projects and own/manage discrete, defined marketing projects with increasing independence over time Partner with cross functional project teams to ensure NPD milestones are met on time Maintain and track project documentation, timelines, and deliverables across active product development initiatives PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS Timelines and accuracy of NPD deliverables Launch planning performance against EoC strategy objectives Demonstrated growth in project ownership and upstream marketing competencies over time QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field required Required Knowledge Foundational understanding of marketing principles and product development processes Familiarity with the healthcare industry, including market dynamics and customer segments, preferred Familiarity with the end-to-end product development lifecycle and basic market research methodologies; healthcare industry experience a plus, but a curiosity about customer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics is a must Experience Required 2+ years of experience in marketing, product management, or a related field; Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required Experience supporting cross‑functional projects or initiatives, with some exposure to business case development or product launch processes - and a desire to grow into owning these workstreams independently Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver on deadlines Skills/Abilities Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail - able to manage operational tasks with accuracy and follow-through Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize market data and customer insights into clear summaries and recommendations Intellectually curious, with a desire to understand the "why" behind the business and grow into strategic marketing responsibilities Collaborative team player who can work effectively across functions including R&D, regulatory, supply chain, and sales Clear written and verbal communicator, comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders at multiple levels Self‑starter who takes initiative, manages priorities well, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment Comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by the opportunity to build skills and take on increasing ownership over time. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work. Working Conditions No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
