To learn more, please visit: https://www.NFP.com. Summary: The Account Manager I is responsible for working with Brokers/Account Managers to service large complex property/casualty clients. The position requires supporting them in the day-to-day account management for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic, organizational and communications skills. The Account Manager I will work with senior team members to manage the renewal and marketing process and prepare materials for presentations and communications. While in this role, this person will begin to learn to manage large property/casualty programs under senior team member direction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Gather and input data into the agency management system, provide assistance with various tasks and processes relative to new and renewal business May learn to prepare specifications &/or Acord apps as necessary for marketing/pricing under the direction of a senior level colleague May assist or “shadow” senior level colleague(s) in the marketing and negotiating of specific program lines of business May participate in reviewing proposals and carrier source documents for accuracy under the direction of the Account Manager Creates and maintains client files in accordance with NFP’s Service Model Standards Responsible for maintaining client policy records in the agency management system Prepares ID cards, certificates of insurance, Accord applications, binders and cancellations under direction of more senior level staff Verifies Coverage for certificates of insurance issued by dept Processor or other team members Verifies that documentation (policies and endorsements,) and information requested are accurate Learns to perform policy checks, audit checks, and the process for completing coverage checklists and coverage recommendation letters (under the direction of senior level staff) Verifies the accuracy and compliance of requested documentation (policies and endorsements) Process premium and non-premium endorsements, follow up with carriers for outstanding policies, endorsements, corrections, etc. Invoicing, finance agreement preparation and assist on billing questions from clients, accounting personnel and insurance company personnel when necessary Processing Broker of Record Requests May Complete Affidavits and Due Diligence Forms for non-admitted placement Special projects as assigned by management or senior level staff Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-confidence to make sound independent decisions Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people and function well both in a team environment and autonomously Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner Customer focused on establishing and maintain effective relationships Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines Must be able to read, analyze and reconcile financial reports Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills Sharp attention to detail, decision making skills, and problem resolution Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines and technology Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (or equivalent) and BA/BS preferred More than 3 years’ client service and/or industry and product line experience Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Appropriately licensed or ability to obtain licensing if required What We Offer: We're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. The base salary range for this position is $48,000 – $80,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
