Marketing Assistant
The Marketing Assistant will support gathering, organizing, and reporting market-related information related to the comprehensive marketing plans for the offices within the Career and Integrated Partnership Portfolio. To implement the marketing objectives within the portfolio, this role will assist in creating promotional communications, including print and electronic media.
This includes designing, developing, producing, and distributing promotional and collateral materials, both digital and print, by collaborating with internal creative teams, external vendors, and partners inside and outside of the portfolio to support programs and student experience.
The assistant will also support website organization and updates for offices within the portfolio, collaborating with campus partners for technical and design assistance for the department's web-based, online marketing presence. This includes maintaining the quality, accuracy, and accessibility of outgoing communications via website and digital applications. Additionally, the assistant will manage departmental social media accounts, creating campaigns and activities, effective online promotions, and building awareness of department activities.
Other duties include participating in staff and one‑on‑one supervision meetings, attending department, division, and university-wide committees, and contributing to brand consistency across all marketing channels.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Experience
Knowledge of and experience managing printing processes and pre‑press production requirements.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, WordPress, and website management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including crafting high‑level communications for diverse audiences.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Professional interpersonal skills and teamwork.
