About The HJGT
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the HJGT. Currently the HJGT is the largest junior golf tour in the world hosting more 2‑day nationally ranked events than any other tour.
Position Digital Marketing Associate
Location: Winter Garden, FL
Hours: Th-M (hours vary)
Reports to: Manager, Digital Marketing
Position Summary The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is looking for a creative, driven, and enthusiastic Digital Content Creator to join our media team for the semester. This hands‑on internship will give you the opportunity to create engaging content and develop your skills in sports marketing and digital storytelling.
Requirements
Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related fields.
This is an unpaid internship, and you must receive at least one (1) credit for the onsite experience from an accredited College/University.
Must be in good standing with your College/University.
Responsibilities
Generate engaging and compelling content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter).
Produce and edit photography and/or short‑form video content using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, Lightroom, Photoshop, or Canva.
Stay up‑to‑date on trends, viral challenges, and platform storytelling for the HJGT brand on our social media platforms.
Support day‑to‑day brainstorming and content ideation for social platforms.
Qualifications
Hitting all marketing deadlines as well as assisting every department in their overall objectives.
Grow social media by 40% during the internship (combined all platforms).
Create profitable marketing/social campaigns for invitationals, products, and etc.
Experience / Skills
Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Photography or related field.
Experience in golf and other sports photography.
Proficiency in editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Capcut, Final Cut Pro, or Canva).
Full understanding of each social media platform and its capabilities while staying on top of trends (Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Creative and innovative mindset.
Willingness to work weekends.

Interns will be around golf professionals, directors of golf, course superintendents, influential and successful sponsors, parents, and spectators. The internship is unlike many other programs because of the hands‑on experience you will receive. Interns will be given daily tasks that have a substantial impact on the organization. You will learn how to manage people, manage departments, and problem‑solve in a fast and fun environment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the associate may be required to work varying schedules including nights and weekends to reflect the business needs of the company.
