Campus & Community Specialist

The Campus & Community Specialist serves as the primary face and liaison for State Bank of Southern Utah with college students, faculty, staff, and youth within the community. This role is responsible for building meaningful relationships, increasing brand presence, and driving adoption of banking products among the next generation of customers. This position requires a highly outgoing, relationship‑driven individual who is comfortable engaging one‑on‑one and in group settings, representing the bank professionally, and proactively connecting with individuals to build trust and long‑term relationships.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Campus & Community Engagement

Serve as the primary liaison for events and sponsorships between State Bank and SUU.

Maintain a visible, consistent presence on campus through tabling, events, sponsorships, athletics coordination, and relationship building.

Act as the main point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding banking questions, resources, and product offerings.

Sponsorship & Event Coordination

Coordinate SUU sponsorship activations, including athletic events, ticket allocations, on‑campus promotions, and branded experiences.

Assist in planning, promoting, and executing bank‑led events tied to sponsorships and community partnerships.

Ensure sponsorship commitments are fulfilled with a high level of professionalism and brand consistency.

Product Promotion & Relationship Development

Promote checking accounts, personal loans, and other bank products to students, faculty, and staff through in‑person engagement.

Proactively engage individuals at tabling events and outreach efforts to generate interest and account openings.

Build rapport quickly with diverse audiences and establish trust as a knowledgeable banking resource.

Financial Education & Outreach

Teach free financial education courses and workshops on campus and within the community.

Visit local high schools and middle schools to educate students on basic personal finance topics.

Support the bank’s mission of financial literacy by adapting content to meet audience needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, public relations, business, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience in face‑to‑face engagement, outreach, sales, or relationship‑building roles.

Comfortable speaking to individuals and groups in both formal and informal settings.

Experience supporting or coordinating events.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with college students or youth‑focused audiences.

Background in community relations, outreach, education, or financial services.

Familiarity with higher education environments or campus culture.
