Hale Centre Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for their upcoming production of
ANASTASIA: The Musical .
Production Details This dazzling show transports audiences from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of 1920s Paris, following a brave young woman’s quest to discover her past. The production is directed by Dave Tinney, choreographed by Afton Wilson, and music direction is by Alex Marshall.
Roles All roles are open and may be paired. We are seeking a diverse group of men and women for character roles aged 21 and older, one young girl (age 8‑10), and one young boy (age 11‑13). For this production we will not be able to offer any AEA contracts. Additionally, we are looking for one female ensemble member and one male ensemble member, both classically trained ballet soloists, to perform the pas de deux from Swan Lake with the female dancer en pointe.
Audition Procedure Auditions are by video submission only, submitted via the link on the website. Submit a single YouTube link (not Shorts) before the deadline:
10 pm, Friday, April 17, 2026 . Videos submitted after 10 pm will not be considered.
Required content for your video:
Slate the video at the beginning and state your name.
Provide 45‑60 seconds of a song in the style of the show (not from the show).
For roles such as Anastasia, Dmitry, Vlad, Lily, Tsarina Alexandra, Tsar Nicholas, Young Anastasia, and Prince Alexie, include a “Movers” dance video.
Callbacks Call‑backs will be held in person on Saturday, May 2, 2026, by invitation only. They will include readings, singing, and dancing. Call‑backs are held at the theatre, not at the university.
Compensation All cast members will be paid. Pay rates vary by role from $50 to $150 per performance. Weekday matinees earn an additional $20 per performance. A pay stipend is also provided for rehearsals. Pay rates are posted on the character descriptions available on the website.
