Architectural Drafter

We are seeking a skilled
Architectural Drafter
to support projects from pre-design through construction by preparing accurate drawings, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring compliance with zoning, code, and permitting requirements.
What This Role Does
Complete initial zoning and code checks to support feasibility and early project planning
Attend meetings with owners, clients, and internal stakeholders
Create preliminary sketches during the pre-design phase to support budgeting and estimating
Document revisions and modifications to preliminary sketches for comparison against estimates
Establish drawing schedules and allocate associated drafting hours
Obtain and coordinate consultant quotes for civil engineering, borings, and landscape services
Represent the company professionally at municipal and regulatory meetings
Coordinate with project managers and superintendents during the construction phase
Submit, track, and secure building permits from applicable authorities
Review and approve shop drawings to ensure alignment with design intent and construction documents
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field OR Associate’s degree with demonstrated experience using Revit
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and architectural construction document drafting
Strong understanding of international building codes, planning and zoning ordinances, and the construction document submittal process
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $28.85 - $28.85/hr.
