Order Entry Specialist (Temporary)
This position is temporary in nature. The anticipated duration of the assignment is 6 months and is subject to change based upon business need. The Order Entry Specialist is a member of the Customer Service team and is responsible for accurately and efficiently entering customer orders received via email and EDI while ensuring data integrity and compliance with company procedures. This role also supports Customer Service Representatives by assisting with order maintenance and updates to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include: Receiving, reviewing and processing customer orders while screening information for accuracy and completeness, including ensuring that there are detailed instructions for the processing, manufacturing, packaging, shipping and delivery of orders based on customer needs and operations capabilities. Managing and maintaining order dates within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure alignment with customer requirements and production or fulfillment schedules. Tracking and expediting orders as needed. Utilizing the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and ERP systems as required. Assisting Customer Service Representatives with order maintenance activities. Ensuring compliance with company policies. Performing miscellaneous duties for projects and otherwise, as assigned or requested. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. Prior relevant experience in a customer-oriented role is preferred. Prior experience utilizing an ERP is preferred. Strong Microsoft Office experience, including skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, is required. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks. Excellent time management skills and able to prioritize work accordingly. Effective communication skills
