Job Description Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers, engaging them via multiple channels (in‑person, by appointment, and virtually) to provide the best possible counsel while adopting a digital‑first mindset.

Strong client relationships are built on trust, assessment of banking needs, and providing education on available deposit and loan products.

Consultants identify solutions for new and existing clients, maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products—including digital products—and provide a consistent optimal client experience.

They open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, submit credit applications, and proactively educate clients on emerging self‑service digital offerings.

This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.

Candidates will undergo the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check.

Failure to meet or maintain any NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in rescission of an offer or termination of employment.

Location Expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days.

Client Relationship Consultant 1 Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of one to two years of job‑related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training

Preferred Skills / Experience

Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up

Effective engagement and communication with clients

Basic knowledge of bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Experience demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies

Ability to identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset

Basic proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs reactively and proactively

Experience in the financial services industry (preferred)

Client Relationship Consultant 2 Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of three to four years of job‑related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training

Preferred Skills / Experience

Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up

Effective engagement and communication with clients

Thorough knowledge of bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Experience demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies

Ability to identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset

Proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs reactively and proactively

Experience in the financial services industry (preferred)

Client Relationship Consultant 3 Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of four to five years of job‑related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset

Client Relationship Consultant 4 Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of five years of job‑related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training

Advanced knowledge of bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
