Overview Full Time Shift:

Monday-Friday

Available Shifts:

4:30 am‑12:30 pm / 5:00 am‑1:00 pm / 5:30 am‑1:30 pm every other weekend

Pay Range:

$17.40‑$21.50 Based on experience—Mileage Reimbursement.

Role The Mobile Phlebotomist, under the general supervision of the Area Phlebotomy Supervisor (APS), provides clinical pre‑analytical laboratory services to our clients/patients in a mobile setting. He/she is responsible for completing assigned routes in a safe and timely manner and follows all policies and procedures.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Drive vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by company dispatcher.

Unload phlebotomy supplies and take to patient’s bedside to collect samples ordered by physician.

Accurately identify patient before collecting specimen(s).

Accurately collect, label, process, and deliver specimens obtained from patients.

Reload equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt delivery.

Regularly communicate with dispatcher to report status and location.

Strictly adhere to Universal Precautions to control blood‑borne pathogens and infectious disease exposures.

Maintain required certifications, health requirements, and operational requirements.

Required Skills

Excellent communication and interaction skills specific to the populations served, including pediatric and geriatric communities.

Treat customers and patients with respect, dignity, and discretion; acknowledge residents’ rights and patient right to refuse.

Current valid State phlebotomy license, if applicable.

Current valid State Driver’s license; car insurance; good driving record; possession of a vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirements.

Proficiency in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniques.

Knowledge of laboratory operations.

Maintain sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contamination.

Professional Experience / Educational Requirements

High School diploma.

Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program, or adequate phlebotomy experience.

Six months minimum experience in phlebotomy with emphasis in acute hospital, dialysis, pediatrics, or geriatrics.

Demonstrates clean driving record within existing company policy.

Demonstrates current proof of auto insurance coverage.

Certification / Licensure

Valid driver’s license.
