Volunteer: Marketing + Communications Volunteer Placement (online and in-person)

Cost for in‑person placement: from $1466 USD for the first 2 weeks, $608 thereafter. Cost for online placement: from $1081 USD for the first 2 weeks, $415 thereafter.

Introduction This project is a surfing‑inspired sustainable development non‑profit (NGO) driving the development of poor Peruvian coastal communities through sustainable development. We develop environmental, educational, infrastructure, and socio‑economic projects working hand‑in‑hand with local communities and international interns.

Marketing & Communications Intern Responsibilities As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you will own the organization’s outreach projects, working alongside Directors and other interns to promote our development initiatives.

Social media content creation – gather content for engaging posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Coordinate with other intern teams to ensure accurate representation.

Photography and videography – capture photos and videos at community events, planting days, photo shoots for partners, and wildlife using our camera to showcase biodiversity of the Lobitos area.

Design promotional material – coordinate with directors and partners to design merchandise and promotional items.

Communication with supporters – create newsletters, orchestrate webinars, global calls, and online fundraising events. Engage with the Lobitos community, organize and promote workshops, and maintain contacts with global donors.

Online program activities – marketing research for upcoming initiatives; content curation for all social media and marketing platforms; creation and implementation of graphic elements; monitor engagement; implement marketing and communication goals.
