Job Description
The Home Retention Specialist II is responsible for collection activity on FHA Single Family Mortgage loans that are 45+ days delinquent. This includes providing loss mitigation options to the borrowers and trying to assist them in keeping their homes.
Maintain an auto queue; make outgoing collections calls and take incoming calls at certain times of the day. Make recommendation if account is to be sent to Foreclosure. Counsel borrowers and provide loss mitigation options including, but not limited to Loan Modification and HUD Partial Claim. Assist borrowers in understanding the importance of paying the mortgage and maintaining the home. Prepare and upload attorney packages to the shared network folder. Candidate must work one evening per week (10:30 am -7:00pm). This can be a remote day per current PHFA policies for remote work. Update servicing system using appropriate codes and note fields. Other duties as assigned by Manager. Must perform all above duties accurately and efficiently and be capable of making independent decisions using sound judgment. Identify problems and make sound recommendations for how to resolve as well as present ideas for preventing future recurrences. Operate in a paperless work environment.
