Assistant Video Editor

Position Details This role is a part‑time contract position, working 2–3 times a week. It is in‑person at our studio in Germantown/Cordova, Tennessee area (must be local). Pay range $25–30/hour. Company Description Editbae Post is a full-service post studio and STEM platform dedicated to producing diverse and experimental content that amplifies minority stories. With expertise in editing, sound mixing & design, and color correction, we collaborate with renowned clients such as NBA, Walmart, Microsoft, Reebok, L'Oréal, and more. Our portfolio spans commercials, short experimental films, documentaries, and more. Editbae Post brings sass and soul to visual playback with an alternative collective of filmmakers and art kids amplifying stories people can feel. About The Role We’re seeking a skilled video editor who is tech savvy and organized, with basic knowledge of editing. This role is best for a recent graduate or beginner editor looking to build a portfolio. All applicants are subject to a test‑edit to confirm proficiency level. Key Responsibilities Edit Long‑form podcast, lifestyle, and short‑form marketing content Use animation, subtitles, and effects to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement Project management – organization of drives and cloud storage Qualifications Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (MacOS) 2+ years of professional video editing experience Strong portfolio showcasing storytelling through video Deep understanding of various formats and ratios of media Excellent time management and attention to detail Must be organized with clean file management and timelines Editbae Post is an equal employment opportunity employer.
