We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to support both the Publisher and a Senior Editor in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, the candidate will support the Publisher and Senior Editor across a wide range of responsibilities spanning the publishing process. Responsibilities Assist the Publisher in managing the overview and seasonal flow of Saga Press: organizing all seasonal materials (imprint tipsheets, title grids, and sales materials), scheduling meetings and overseeing the calendar, taking notes, and helping maintain all imprint traffic and deadlines. Assist the Publisher and Senior Editor on all levels of acquisition to publication: reviewing manuscripts, logging submissions, facilitating book management inter-departmentally, performing general administrative duties, communicating with authors and agents by phone and email, drafting sales copy, preparing tip sheets and contract-related documents, and organizing schedules and meetings. Qualifications & Skills Independent, confidential, and professional work in a fast-paced office environment. Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and follow-through skills with attention to detail and deadlines. Starting pay depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
