About Venturebrand
We are the next generation of brand consultancy. By bringing an investor mindset to brands, and brand value creation to the world of M&A, we’re creating a unique venture mindset for the brands and people we partner with.
We are a senior and experienced team. We have founded, run, scaled up, and sold highly successful agencies and consulting businesses. We have collectively been motivating, inspiring, engaging and having a huge amount of fun with our teams and clients for several decades, all with a venture mindset, transparency, creativity and commerciality.
Bringing together consumer insight, brand strategy, innovation, brand transformation, creative and design, private equity and AI, we’re helping ambitious brand owners and investors to innovate, acquire or transform brands for bold impact and lasting value.
With offices in Union Square, New York and central Soho in London, we’d love you to come and join the adventure!
The role We are looking to add an inspirational, multi‑disciplinary Strategy Director to our NY team.
A proactive leader who can span from inception, lead generation and door opening through to credentials meetings, pitching, winning and running full‑scale brand strategy, insight, innovation and creative projects and programmes of work through to conclusion and lining up the next phase of work.
We want the successful candidate to take a significant role in helping guide the direction and shaping the growth of our business.
You will woo, win, land and lead strategic insight, brand and innovation projects.

Working closely with our designers and external partners to get strategy and ideas to market.
Maintaining the highest standard of written, visual and verbal outputs.
Introducing and helping to recruit new team members.
Coaching, mentoring, teaching, inspiring and up‑skilling our team.
Experience and skills Approximately 10 years+ brand or marketing strategy consultancy or relevant client‑side experience – comfortable with working across disciplines, managing stakeholders, quickly getting up to speed on new sectors and challenges.
Solid strategy experience with demonstrable cases of successful commercial impact stories, including creation of new brand narratives, products or services.
Versed in a variety of insight techniques and hands‑on experience turning insight into strategy into action.
Experience in working across international markets, familiar with and sensitive to cultural nuances.
Very strong strategic and creative thinking, open to new ideas and passionate about trends, brands, consumers and categories.
A natural storyteller with ability to write compelling brand stories and concepts to engage internally and externally.
Proven ability to distil large datasets and information sources into succinct implications that move the needle.

Strong evidence of winning new and repeat business.
A team player who brings energy to the office environment, thrives on collaboration and builds the team up.
As well as aptitude, we’re looking for someone with the “Venture mindset”. Someone who is excited by daring to do things differently, to imagine and innovate new ways of working, a fixer and do‑er rather than a commentator, who is able to cut to the chase without cutting corners, who is inspired by building the team and our clients up.
