We are seeking a Communications and PR Manager for our Lincoln, RI office.

Job Overview The Communications and PR Manager leads and evolves Amica’s communications and public relations function as a strategic driver of brand reputation, trust, and business growth. They oversee a high‑performing team responsible for shaping the company’s voice across all internal and external touchpoints, ensuring communications are consistent, credible, differentiated, and impactful.

Responsibilities

Build and lead a modern content and communications team capable of delivering high‑quality, high‑impact work at scale across multiple formats and channels.

Shape and drive an integrated communications strategy that aligns with enterprise growth priorities, ensuring all messaging advances brand differentiation, customer trust, and business outcomes.

Integrate AI and emerging technologies into content development and workflows, establishing best practices for responsible use while upskilling the team.

Serve as a primary steward of Amica’s brand voice, setting and enforcing standards for messaging, voice, and tone to ensure consistency, credibility, and alignment with brand and reputation objectives.

Lead Amica’s public relations, thought leadership, and reputation strategy, proactively shaping narratives, identifying opportunities to elevate the brand, and guiding response strategies during risk or visibility moments.

Establish success metrics for communications and PR efforts, leveraging data, media insights, and audience feedback to refine strategy and demonstrate impact on brand and business outcomes.

Provide communications leadership for high‑profile, enterprise‑level initiatives, including the annual report, annual meeting, Leadership Summit, and other executive communications and corporate events.

Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the organization, serving as a trusted advisor on messaging, audience impact, and reputational considerations.

Partner across Brand, Media, Digital, Data, and Product teams to ensure communications are integrated, insight‑driven, and optimized across the full customer journey.

The 37.5‑hour work week is scheduled from Monday through Friday, core hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A hybrid schedule will be available once trained, with three days in the Lincoln, RI office and two days working from home.

This role does not currently offer employment visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required; degree in English, journalism, communications, or public relations preferred.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the personal lines insurance industry.

Experience managing complex, sensitive situations requiring strategic communication, rapid decision‑making, and reputational awareness.

Strong interpersonal skills and at least five years of experience leading a diverse team.

Demonstrated ability to adopt and apply emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance communications effectiveness, maintaining strong editorial judgment and ethical standards.

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with critical thinking and sound editorial judgment to shape clear, effective, audience‑appropriate messaging.

Strong understanding of branding and style guidelines.

Proven ability to manage high‑volume, fast‑paced environments with competing priorities and tight timelines. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
