About This Role The Digital Designer is part of the USGA Marketing’s creative team.

This role will create compelling, educational and entertaining digital organic and paid collateral that are optimized for each audience and digital and social channel across the USGA, and engage our key audiences.

The designer should have a passion for creativity, storytelling, engaging the fans, technology and innovation, and should be a positive team player willing to create innovative, engaging content.

What You’ll Do

Create compelling, entertaining digital organic and paid collateral that are optimized for each audience and channel across USGA digital and social media channels to support USGA pillars and engage key audiences.

Collaborate with marketing and content team members to determine the most engaging and best creative content.

Work with stakeholders, social media leads and the creative team to facilitate creation of the most appropriate and compelling content to be shared outwardly.

Push content to be distinct while staying within brand, messaging and guidelines, including social graphics for live championship coverage and USGA news.

Remote work for live coverage of USGA Championships and other USGA events and initiatives.

Travel to select USGA championships to create timely graphics for social media, coordinating with on-site creatives, hosts and brand ambassadors to produce daily/weekly social content plans and execute them.

Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to fulfill corporate partner obligations and goals on championship social media channels, including paid programs that deliver the desired reach or engagement.

Assist video and photo teams on shoots and deliverables.

Where You’ll Be The role will be based in Liberty Corner on a hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in office with some travel to championships.

Salary Range Annual base salary range: $60,000 – $72,000.

Compensation is based on factors such as skill set, experience and relevant certifications.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field is preferred.

Experience as a graphic designer at professional or college sports is preferred but not required.

A strong portfolio that captures the attention of content consumers and leverages current social media trends.

Strong understanding of and passion for visual storytelling.

Self‑starter with high standards and accountability.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure deadline environment.

Detail‑oriented with high levels of quality control.

Creative judgment based on current trends, events and platform style.

Team player who can work independently and take direction.

Embrace new production technologies and demonstrate a desire to learn and implement new techniques.

Exhibit a “no task is too small” attitude.

Willingness to travel, work onsite or remote, work after hours, weekends and holidays in support of championships, initiatives and breaking news.

Knowledge and passion for golf is a plus.
