Role Overview We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join a collaborative design team. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful educational projects, creating interior environments that foster learning and creativity. Responsibilities

Design interior spaces for educational facilities, with emphasis on K-12 projects, including classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, and common areas

Collaborate with architects and project teams to develop cohesive design concepts that align with educational programming needs

Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that meet durability requirements and educational standards

Create detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, finish schedules, and specifications using CAD and Revit

Develop 3D renderings and presentations to communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders

Conduct site visits and assessments to inform design decisions and ensure successful project implementation

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and educational consultants throughout the design and construction process

Stay current with educational design trends, accessibility requirements, and safety standards

Participate in client meetings and presentations to gather requirements and present design solutions

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

Experience designing interior spaces for educational facilities required (minimum 3 years)

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (required)

Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and color theory

Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and safety requirements

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with educational programming and learning environment design

Proficiency in additional design software such as SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or 3D rendering programs

NCIDQ certification or progress toward certification

Understanding of sustainable design practices and LEED principles

Experience with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) specification and procurement
