Content Producer Job at Precision Social in Mokena
Precision Social, Mokena, IL, United States
Precision Social is a video and photo production company that helps brands tell better stories through social media. We work in small, dedicated teams called pods; each one has a strategist who owns the client relationship, a social media manager who owns the publishing calendar, and a content producer who owns the visual output. That's this role.
We're hiring a Content Producer (or Junior Content Producer, depending on experience) to be the production seat in one of our pods. You'll work with the same clients consistently, learn their brands deeply, and create the photos and videos that show up on their social channels.
The Role
You own the creative production for your pod's clients, from pre‑shoot planning through final delivery. The content you create, primarily short‑form video and photography, lives on your clients' social media channels. That means:
Shooting video and photo on location at client sites across Chicagoland and occasionally beyond. This is a client‑facing role; you'll be on set with the people whose brands you're building, greeting them, outlining the plan, and keeping the session running smoothly.
Editing content in DaVinci Resolve; cutting for social platforms with attention to hooks, pacing, captions, and format.
Prepping for shoots by reviewing creative briefs, building shot lists, coordinating gear, and showing up ready.
Directing real people on camera; our clients aren't actors, so you need to make them comfortable and get usable takes efficiently.
Managing your own footage pipeline; ingest, file organization, version control, and delivery to spec.
Collaborating daily with your pod's strategist and social media manager to stay aligned on priorities and deadlines.
Some weeks are shoot‑heavy. Some weeks are edit‑heavy. Every week requires organization and follow‑through.
What We're Looking For:
Junior Content Producer:
Portfolio or reel showing video and/or photo work; personal, academic, or freelance projects are all fine.
Familiarity with camera systems, basic lighting, and audio recording.
Working knowledge of Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro.
Strong attention to detail and organizational habits.
Content Producer:
1–3 years of professional experience producing video and/or photo content.
Portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end work; you shot it, you edited it, you delivered it.
Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (preferred) and Lightroom.
Comfort directing non‑actors and working on set with clients present.
Both levels:
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to be on location; this is not a fully remote role.
Nice to have:
Experience creating content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or LinkedIn.
Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools.
