The Opportunity mophie's social media presence is being rebuilt with intention — and this hire is the person who builds it. This is not a channel management role. It is a content marketing role with social as its primary expression. The Senior Manager of Social Media will help shape mophie's voice and bring it to life across every platform — translating brand strategy into premium, authentic content that connects with consumers who care deeply about the products they carry every day.

You will work at the intersection of brand marketing and ecommerce, pushing and pulling levers that serve both. You will help shape mophie's voice and visual identity across social — and be the primary vessel through which that voice reaches consumers every day. You will build the influencer and UGC ecosystem from scratch, develop the organic TikTok strategy that supports TikTok Shop, and bring a relentless creative curiosity to every piece of content that goes out under the mophie name.

What You'll Own Content Strategy & Creation

Own mophie's content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook — with a clear point of view on what each platform demands and how each serves the broader brand and business.

Develop and execute a content calendar that balances brand storytelling, product education, cultural relevance, and commerce — without ever feeling like advertising.

Be a hands‑on creator and creative director: concepting, scripting, shooting, editing, and publishing content — not just briefing others to do it.

Bring a premium, authentic, and differentiated creative sensibility to every post, story, reel, and short‑form video. mophie is not a commodity brand and the content should never feel like one.

Platform Expertise

Demonstrate deep, platform‑specific fluency — you understand the algorithm, the culture, the format, and the audience of each platform independently, and you tailor content accordingly.

Build and own mophie's organic TikTok strategy, including content formats, posting cadence, trends integration, and the connective tissue between organic content and TikTok Shop.

Develop YouTube as a long‑form storytelling and product education channel — with a strategy that builds subscribers and supports both brand and search.

Drive Instagram as mophie's primary lifestyle and community platform, with a clear aesthetic, consistent voice, and strong engagement mechanics.

Influencer & Creator Programs

Build mophie's influencer and micro‑influencer program from scratch — identifying the right creators, structuring partnerships, managing relationships, and measuring impact.

Define tiered outreach strategies that serve both core consumers (Apple power users, mobile professionals) and lifestyle outreach audiences — and select creators who authentically bridge both.

Develop briefing, content review, and performance tracking processes that scale as the program grows without losing authenticity.

Stay current on creator trends, platform monetization shifts, and the evolving influencer landscape — and bring proactive recommendations to leadership.

Build a UGC engine that turns mophie's most passionate customers into content contributors — identifying, curating, repurposing, and amplifying real customer content across owned channels.

Develop the systems and incentives that encourage high‑quality UGC at scale — reviews, reposts, hashtag campaigns, and community challenges.

Partner with the Ecommerce team to integrate UGC into the DTC site experience, product pages, and email flows.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Brand Marketing to ensure social content reflects and reinforces the evolving mophie brand identity, visual system, and tone of voice.

Partner with the Ecommerce team to align content strategy with product launches, promotional moments, and conversion goals — including TikTok Shop integration.

Collaborate with the Performance Marketing team to identify organic content that has paid amplification potential and provide creative assets that serve both organic and paid needs.

Contribute actively to campaign briefings, product launch planning, and seasonal marketing calendars — social is not downstream of the plan, it shapes it.

Measurement & Reporting

Own social media KPIs: follower growth, engagement rate, reach, video views, share of voice, UGC volume, and influencer EMV.

Contribute to TikTok Shop performance in close partnership with the Performance Marketing team — organic content strategy and commerce outcomes are connected, and this role plays an active role in driving both.

Report performance clearly and honestly — platform‑reported vanity metrics are not the goal; meaningful engagement and business contribution are.

Use data to iterate quickly: what's working gets scaled, what isn't gets cut or reworked without ego.

What We're Looking For Experience

5+ years managing social media for a consumer product brand with a meaningful lifestyle component— outdoor, tech, apparel, sporting goods, or similar.

Demonstrated ability to grow and engage an audience across multiple platforms simultaneously, with platform‑specific strategies rather than one‑size‑fits‑all content.

Hands‑on content creation experience — you have built, shot, and edited content yourself, not just managed agencies or contractors to do it.

Experience building or meaningfully contributing to an influencer program, including creator identification, outreach, negotiation, and performance measurement.

Working knowledge of TikTok Shop, affiliate linking, and the commerce mechanics of social platforms.

Experience working cross‑functionally with brand, ecommerce, and performance marketing teams.

Deep appreciation for consumer research and psychographic data — you understand how persona development informs content strategy and use that insight to make sharper creative decisions.

Skills & Capabilities

Platform fluency: you speak Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest natively — their cultures, formats, and algorithms are not interchangeable to you.

Creative storytelling: you are a content marketer first. You think in narratives, not posts.

Visual sensibility: you have a strong aesthetic eye and can recognize — and produce — premium content that looks intentional, not generic.

UGC and community building: you know how to create the conditions for customers to become advocates, and how to amplify that content effectively.

Analytical instincts: you know which metrics matter, which are noise, and how to use data to make faster creative decisions.

Strong written voice: your captions, briefs, and pitches are clear, compelling, and on‑brand.
