Our client is seeking a freelance Photographer to create original photography for Media products. As a photographer on the team, you will create and produce compelling visual assets – from concept through execution. You will be equally comfortable working collaboratively and independently, planning and managing both simple and complex shoots, and producing high-quality assets from start to finish, often on short notice.
This role requires the ability to create meaningful, timely, and iconic imagery that resonates across a range of platforms.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional talent across photographic styles, from portraiture to documentary work, with a strong command of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling. You bring excellent communication, project, and time management skills, and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. You are a self‑starter who remains calm under pressure.
You are passionate about music, culture, and lifestyle, with a strong eye for detail and a balance of creative vision and technical craft. In this role, you will partner closely with Creative Directors, art directors, and producers to ideate, develop, and deliver assets across multiple channels.
Key Qualifications
5-8 years of experience as a photographer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating culture‑defining work within the music, events, or entertainment space
Experience assisting established photographers is a plus
Proven expertise in studio lighting, portraiture, and reportage
Highly creative, with the ability to interpret direction and consistently deliver impactful, culture‑driven content
Deep technical knowledge of studio lighting (constant and strobe), mixed lighting, digital capture, archiving, file naming, and keywording
Skilled retoucher with the ability to edit skin, clothing, and silo images
Proficient in Capture One and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop)
Experience working with notable talent and navigating high‑pressure environments
Strong understanding of what makes compelling content that cuts through and engages diverse audiences
Actively engaged in photography trends, drawing inspiration from editorial, fine art, and commercial work, and sharing insights with the broader team
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams and external partners
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at various stages, from concept through production and final delivery
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
High level of discretion when handling confidential materials
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
