Syneos Health is looking for an experienced SEO/AEO Content Lead. This role sits within the Evolvics media team and is responsible for planning and executing advanced SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies. The SEO Content Lead will drive our Content Intent Engine offering and work closely with leadership on how we position Evolvics and Syneos within the SEO/AEO landscape.

The ideal candidate will exhibit proven success managing strategic programs within the pharma/healthcare space with a focus on SEO/AEO and content. This position plays an important role in building trust and expertise with our clients, and the ideal candidate will excel at relaying complex search topics in a way that is understandable for someone with no search experience, using data and research to drive actionable recommendations. Passion for great performance is a must – the ideal candidate will proactively lead our clients and recommend data‑driven content solutions to existing campaigns while helping to craft strategy for new initiatives. This role will help develop our approach from research to content recommendations to measurement strategy.

Responsibilities

Strategic Ownership:

Plan, present, and own the success of organic search and AEO programs across clients and internal stakeholders.

Product Leadership:

Drive the rollout and ongoing evolution of proprietary SEO/AEO offerings, ensuring we remain at the cutting edge of generative search behaviors.

Go-to-Market Collaboration:

Work directly with Evolvics and Syneos leadership to define, position, and pitch our AEO and content intelligence capabilities to the broader market.

End-to-End Methodology : Develop and refine our standardized approach, governing the entire lifecycle from initial data research and editorial blueprints to final measurement strategy and KPI reporting.

Client Translation:

Act as the definitive search authority for clients, translating high volumes of complex data and algorithm updates into clear, non-technical business recommendations.

Team Mentorship:

Lead, mentor, and train members of the internal and external teams on best practices for intent-driven content development.

Qualifications

Experience:

6+ years of experience leading, executing, and planning SEO campaigns and organic content strategies. (Previous hands‑on AEO campaign execution is a major plus).

Industry Knowledge:

Proven experience managing complex search and content programs within the pharma or healthcare space is required.

AEO Fluency:

Deep conceptual understanding of Answer Engine Optimization, Zero‑Click search realities, and how AI models (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) synthesize healthcare information.

Analytical Prowess:

Highly comfortable analyzing large datasets to uncover search behaviors, intent gaps, and conversational whitespace. Historical work with key industry research tools (Semrush, Screaming Frog, etc.) is a plus.

Client-Facing Excellence:

Extensive experience interacting directly with clients, building trust, and participating in new business pitches.

Travel:

Candidates should be free to travel as‑needed to support the business.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $X to $Y. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
