About the Role As a Marketing CRM & Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to support our Marketing, Sales, and Client Engagement initiatives. Additionally, this role will provide analytic support using a variety of tools to ensure data accuracy, monitor financial performance, and manage campaign efficiency within a regulated financial services environment.

The Marketing CRM & BI Engineer position reports to the Director, Business Analytics & Decision Sciences. This will be part of our Business Intelligence & CRM team with a focus on the Marketing side of the business. This position will be based out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas, or remotely for the right candidate. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

Marketing Campaign Support

Support the CRM execution and data ingestion of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, cross-contextual advertising, and social & digital engagement workflows

Build and manage customer segments and dynamic lists for optimally targeted outreach.

Assist with marketing CRM triggers and reporting.

Ensure all campaigns comply with industry regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, GDPR, CAN‑SPAM).

Oversee customer data hygiene and synchronization between CRM and marketing automation platforms.

Develop and maintain dashboards, campaign performance reports, and data visualizations for marketing and sales teams.

Provide insights on engagement trends, campaign effectiveness, and client behavior.

Partner with IT teams to enhance data enrichment and segmentation processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Compliance, and IT teams to align CRM processes with business goals.

Train end-users in CRM functionality, campaign tracking, and data best practices.

Document processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures for CRM usage.

Provide strategic feedback and analytics on tool utilization and marketing standards.

Serve as the primary Marketing Team contact for the company’s CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or Adobe Experience Cloud).

Maintain data integrity by conducting regular audits, data imports/exports, and duplicate management.

Monitor and optimize system integrations with marketing automation tools, customer portals, and financial product databases and stay abreast on the latest updates and tools as business needs change.

Partner with IT and vendors to implement updates, troubleshoot issues, and ensure platform stability.

What We’re Looking For Required

3–5 years of CRM experience, preferably in financial services (e.g., banking, wealth management, insurance, or retirement planning).

Hands‑on experience with CRM and marketing automation tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, Adobe Experience Cloud, or similar).

Strong data management and reporting skills (Excel, SQL, or BI tools like Tableau or Power BI).

Familiarity with customer data privacy and compliance requirements (GDPR, CAN‑SPAM, FINRA).

Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field.

Experience integrating CRM with core financial platforms or client portals.

Knowledge of API connections, workflow automation, and third‑party data integrations.

Understanding of financial products, customer journeys, and advisor/client communication models.
