Director, Strategic Imperative Transformation Job Summary The Director of Strategic Imperative Transformation is responsible for driving the execution and success of the organization's key transformation initiatives. This role leads the strategy, planning, integration, and delivery of assigned transformation imperatives and their outcomes - ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, accountability for measurable outcomes, and timely resolution of barriers. Partnering cross-functionally with business and functional leaders, the Director serves as the central owner for their segment's imperative management - working hand-in-hand with both the Executive Sponsor and VP, Strategy & Transformation, connecting strategy to execution, enabling progress visibility, and ensuring sustained results.
Responsibilities
Own and lead assigned transformation imperatives, including defining objectives, scope, success measures, and delivery milestones. This includes accountability to deliver on the strategic imperative transformation plan and assigned objectives.
Partner with VP, Strategy & Transformation and Senior Director, Transformation Office to ensure imperatives align with enterprise priorities and strategic roadmap.
Serve as the Executive Sponsor's embedded Transformation Lead, working with them and the VP, Strategy & Transformation to define the strategy, plan, initiatives and objectives.
Translate executive vision into actionable business plans, ensuring clarity of ownership, dependencies, and success metrics.
Drive integration of imperatives across business units and functions, ensuring coordinated execution and interdependency management.
Lead regular cross-functional working sessions to monitor progress, remove obstacles, and align sequencing of initiatives.
Oversee development of implementation plans, workstreams, and dashboards that track performance against defined outcomes.
Establish governance routines for progress reviews, KPI tracking, and reporting to executive leadership.
Identify risks, issues, and constraints that may impact delivery; develop mitigation and resolution plans.
Proactively elevate and drive decisions to keep imperatives on track for milestone achievement.
Partner with Change Management and Communications teams to develop engagement and adoption plans for each imperative.
Ensure consistent messaging and understanding across stakeholder groups, enabling readiness and buy-in.
Reinforce the culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement across all transformation efforts.
Serve as a trusted leader, advisor and thought partner to senior leaders, providing data-driven insights on transformation progress and business impact.
Lead and mentor team members supporting imperative delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Operations, or related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in transformation, program management, strategy or related field to the transformation imperative (e.g. Sales, Operations, .
Proven ability to lead complex, multi-year enterprise initiatives through to measurable results.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills.
Skilled in navigating ambiguity, influencing cross-functional teams, and managing change at scale.
Experience in developing dashboards and performance tracking tools preferred.
