Position Overview

The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for ground-up commercial projects valued at $20M+. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. You will play a critical leadership role in coordinating subcontractors, managing daily site operations, and maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily field operations, managing subcontractors, foremen, and craft labor Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and execute project plans, schedules, and site logistics Review construction drawings, specifications, budgets, and schedules to ensure alignment Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards Lead subcontractor meetings and drive short-term (look-ahead) schedules Coordinate with engineering, quality control, and safety teams Monitor productivity and proactively resolve field challenges Assist with material planning, deliveries, and site logistics Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and stakeholders Enforce strict job site safety standards Support ongoing schedule updates and milestone tracking Qualifications

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required 4+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Foreman in commercial construction Experience with ground-up commercial projects ($20M+) preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Excellent leadership and subcontractor coordination skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Working knowledge of safety and quality standards Proven ability to manage and maintain project schedules Travel Requirements

Must be able to work on projects across various locations for extended durations Working Conditions

Physically demanding role (standing, walking, climbing, lifting 50+ lbs) Exposure to varying weather conditions and job site environments Total Compensation:

$150,000 – $220,000+ annually Performance Bonus:

Up to $50,000 annually Company vehicle

or

vehicle allowance + gas card Two company-paid trips home per month Travel perks and accommodations provided
