
Marine Underwriter

Responsibilities
Maintain and grow a book of ocean marine liability business including Hull/P&I, Primary Marine Liability, and Excess Marine Liability as part of the RB Jones Marine team
Manage and develop broker relationships
Produce new business as well as maintain a book of renewal business
Prequalify accounts and utilize underwriting acumen to select sound marine risks
Underwrite, rate, quote and bind, profitable new and renewal marine business to meet goals in agreement with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority
Regular national travel as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 3 years of marine underwriting experience required
Wholesale, MGA or carrier experience preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing
Proven organization skills and ability with a strong attention to detail
Interest in continued education and professional development
Compensation Package
Base salary range of $90,000.00 to $130,000.00 dependent upon experience
