The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and achieving local vision, goals, and success metrics in alignment with the national organization. This role involves driving the annual fundraising goal, building and mobilizing a regional advisory council, and serving as the lead ambassador to cultivate high-impact partnerships. The Managing Director will also be tasked with ensuring the quality and fidelity of programs, as well as growing the organization in the region. Collaboration with national and local teams, team leadership, and a strong commitment to the mission of the organization are essential.
Applicants for the Managing Director position should have a minimum of 10 years' professional experience, with at least 4 years in senior management, and a proven track record in fundraising and partnership development. A passion for education, social impact, and expanding opportunities for underrepresented communities is a must. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to lead a diverse team and manage multiple projects. Experience in program leadership focused on student success, workforce readiness, or career pathways is highly valued, and a background in working with adult learners or similar populations is a plus.
