Channel GSI FAE/Solution Architect - North America

Advanced Micro Devices, Austin, TX, United States

THE ROLE: We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) within AMD’s Partner Support organization, focused on supporting OEM, ODM, and GSI partners as they define, develop, and deploy new platforms based on AMD technology.

This is a field-focused role supporting global datacenter customers and partners, with an emphasis on new product introduction, system‑level debug, and solution validation involving CPUs, GPUs, and associated development tools.

The engineer will provide pre‑ and post‑sales technical guidance across the full hardware and software stack, including large‑scale deployments in datacenter environments. Responsibilities include reproducing complex issues, driving root cause analysis, and collaborating with AMD engineering teams to resolve customer challenges.

In key engagements, the FAE will act as a trusted advisor and an extension of partner engineering teams, supporting joint development efforts and go‑to‑market initiatives. The role also includes developing proof‑of‑concepts, delivering demonstrations, and building benchmarking frameworks to highlight AMD platform capabilities.

Additionally, the FAE will support partner enablement, provide feedback to internal product teams, and deliver technical and executive‑level presentations to drive successful customer outcomes.
