RiverSource Life Insurance Company – Director, Business Architecture (Minneapolis, MN)
RiverSource Life Insurance Company seeks a Director, Business Architecture to develop and execute business architecture strategy for the domain, applying structured methodologies to capture key views of the business and to influence and negotiate technology solutions that meet business needs within cost, schedule, and scope. Remote work permitted one day per week.
Responsibilities
Develop a business architecture strategy for the domain, applying a structured approach and methodology for capturing key views of the business.
Act as an effective liaison between the business and technology, influencing and negotiating decisions related to the domain strategy.
Define and maintain strategy to ensure technology solutions support business needs and strategies within cost, schedule and scope.
Create and oversee the roadmap for capabilities within the domain.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field, plus 7 years of progressively responsible experience.
Experience in business architecture, systems analysis and design, driving business requirements through process mapping, modeling, and information flows.
Proficiency in leading proof of concepts (PoCs)/discovery using data‑driven methods to validate value, de‑risk approaches, and influence executive decisions.
Experience with Pega eWorkflow, BPM, Robotic Process Automation, eForms, OpenText, Enterprise Data Lake patterns (governance, lineage, MDM, analytics enablement).
Experience incorporating Generative AI and Conversational AI (chatbots/voice bots) into business capabilities, including prompt/LLM patterns, retrieval, and responsible AI controls.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $127,421 – $188,900 per year, variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long‑term incentives based on role.
