As a member of the Northeast Regional Sales team, you will be responsible for identifying key areas for growth within the territory and meeting regional booking and margin objectives. Our products and offerings that you would be responsible for promoting include Control System Upgrades, Lifecycle Services, Ovation Advantage, Digital Solutions, Simulators, and more. A successful candidate will have advanced knowledge and understanding of the power market in the
Northeast . A good understanding of Ovation is preferred. The territory includes
Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, and Western PA .
Responsibilities
Establish a lifecycle plan and maintain up-to-date project pursuit logs for all customers. Regularly communicate with customers on product offerings.
Prepare and/or assist in the sales proposal process.
Provide technical presentations/demos to inform customers of new products, improvements, and services.
Work independently and within a team to support customer inquiries, resolve problems, and increase the efficiency of the overall sales process.
Develop and cultivate relationships with installed base customers to understand business issues and increase customer satisfaction.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and timely CRM updates.
Collaborate as needed with Emerson Impact partners and key internal departments (System sales, field service, order entry, proposals, projects, etc.).
Promote Emerson’s image through participation in professional societies and trade shows.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 to 6 years’ experience in process control/application engineering, field service, marketing, or sales.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.
Familiarity with the implementation of DCS technologies, application engineering, plant optimization/simulators and utility fleet enterprise solutions to enhance operations, as well as renewable alternative energy solutions.
Strong personal, professional, selling, and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinking and the ability to work autonomously, as well as experience with assembling and managing successful virtual pursuit teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role as well.
Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a Power Generation related field.
