MEP Superintendent

A leading general contractor and
major player in the mission-critical/data center construction space , delivering large-scale, complex projects for some of the world’s top technology clients. We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent with a strong MEP background to lead field operations across our growing portfolio of data center builds nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day
on-site construction activities
with a focus on MEP systems for data center projects
Manage and coordinate
mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage subcontractors
Oversee installation, startup, and
commissioning of critical systems
(HVAC, chillers, switchgear, UPS, generators, BMS)
Develop and manage
short-term lookahead schedules
and ensure alignment with the master project schedule
Enforce
site safety standards (OSHA)
and maintain a strong safety culture
Monitor
quality control (QA/QC)
and ensure all work complies with project specifications and industry standards
Coordinate inspections, manage RFIs, and resolve field issues in collaboration with project teams
Maintain accurate
daily reports, progress tracking, and project documentation
Support project closeout, turnover, and client handover processes
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent with
strong MEP focus
Proven experience on
data center or mission-critical projects
preferred
Deep understanding of
MEP systems, sequencing, and commissioning processes
Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
Ability to read and interpret
construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
Experience with tools such as
Procore, Primavera P6, or similar platforms
OSHA certification preferred
Requirements
Willingness to
travel nationwide
and work on rotational assignments
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-demand project environments
Strong communication and coordination skills
