Industry leading Civil construction firm is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.
This permanent Heavy Civil Estimator role in the Engineering industry is hybrid and ideal for a seasoned professional ready to advance their career. You will work on a variety of heavy civil construction projects, utilizing your skills in concrete, flatwork, concrete structures, earthwork, and more. You will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring project success through accurate estimating, project bidding, value engineering, and cost analysis. A keen eye for detail, passion for the construction industry, and budgeting and blueprint reading skills are important for this role.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Job Details Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including concrete, flatwork, concrete structures, and earthwork.
Participate in project bidding, ensuring competitive and accurate bids that align with our company's standards and goals.
Utilize value engineering to optimize the balance between cost, quality, and project timeline.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Conduct cost analysis and budgeting, effectively managing resources to ensure project profitability.
Perform dirt estimating and manage abutment related tasks.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices, implementing them into your work wherever possible.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating or a related role.
Proficient in concrete, flatwork, concrete structures, and earthwork.
Experience in project bidding, value engineering, blueprint reading, cost analysis, and budgeting.
Knowledge of dirt estimating and abutment is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
Proficient in using various estimating software and tools.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar certification is a plus.
