Job Summary We’re building a new team of
Placement Specialists
to support Acrisure’s rapidly growing
South Division . As a key member of the
Large Commercial Placement Team , the Placement Specialist will partner with producers and account teams to market and place property and casualty insurance programs for middle‑market and large commercial clients. In this role, you will gather, analyze, and organize underwriting data; prepare submissions and applications; negotiate coverage terms with carriers; and develop proposals for both new business and renewals.
Responsibilities
Maintain the timeline and process during new business and renewal cycles, including exposure analysis, quote specifications, negotiation of coverage offers, and preparation and presentation of coverage proposals.
Communicate effectively within the team, with producers and Segment Leaders.
Review insurance policies and contracts and recommend improvements.
Prepare property and casualty insurance submissions for new business prospects and renewing accounts, including insurance specifications for each line of coverage, Acord applications, loss summaries, prospect profiles, and exposure schedules.
Attend prospects and proposal meetings with producers as needed.
Analyze excel spreadsheets of client exposure and loss data, and develop financial models of loss‑sensitive programs when necessary.
Answer prospect and carrier phone calls.
Maintain familiarity and working relationships with various insurance companies and wholesalers.
Handle confidential and non‑routine information.
Abide by licensing requirements, including continuing education.
Attend seminars, company meetings, carrier events, and educational activities to improve job expertise and product knowledge.
Work independently and within a team on special, non‑recurring and ongoing projects.
Comfortable with an on‑site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross‑functional partnership.
Requirements
Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work with minimum supervision and accept direction on assignments.
Proficient with MS Office products, especially Excel and Word.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail to ensure document accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong customer service skills.
Experience with a broker/agent, including marketing large middle‑market accounts to carriers; excellent knowledge of the markets.
Strong knowledge of all basic P&C coverages.
Demonstrated superior presentation or relationship skills to present proposals in a highly interactive role.
Education & Experience
Minimum 3‑5 years relevant Commercial Lines experience, with an emphasis on large market placements.
College degree preferred.
Licensed in property and casualty insurance required.
Pursuit of a professional designation—CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU—preferred.
Experience with Epic strongly preferred.
