I’m partnering with a PE‑backed, high‑growth technology company that has built a Salesforce‑centric platform powering large‑scale live event and workforce operations across the U.S. The company is in a period of rapid expansion and platform evolution, scaling both its engineering organization and technical footprint. They are seeking a VP of Engineering to lead the next phase of engineering maturity, delivery excellence, and architectural scale. This role will begin as hybrid in Scottsdale, AZ (2–3 days onsite per week) for the first month, focused on onboarding, stakeholder alignment, and platform immersion. After the initial month, the role will transition into a primarily remote environment. Position Overview

The VP of Engineering is a senior executive leader responsible for setting and executing the technical vision of the engineering organization. Reporting directly to the CTO, this role owns engineering delivery, culture, and architectural integrity across a pod‑based Salesforce engineering team. The ideal candidate brings deep architectural expertise and a proven track record of leading engineering organizations through platform scale, organizational change, and hyper‑growth in complex, regulated environments. Key Responsibilities

Own engineering delivery, team health, and organizational performance across multiple product pods, including Scheduling, Event Execution, Payroll & Invoicing, Pricing & Quoting, Mobile, and QA Define and enforce architecture standards across service design, APIs, scalability, latency, reliability, and platform resilience Lead engineering excellence initiatives, including SDLC maturity, code quality standards, CI/CD (Gearset), sandbox governance, and QA automation (AccelQ) Partner closely with the CTO on platform architecture decisions, technical debt strategy, and build vs. buy vs. configure tradeoffs Recruit, develop, and retain senior engineering talent while building a high‑performance, accountability‑driven engineering culture Serve as the primary escalation point for cross‑pod delivery risks, architectural decisions, and critical engineering blockers Drive organizational stabilization, including insourcing efforts and integration of transitioning engineering resources Manage offshore QA resources and third‑party integration partners Contribute to board‑level and PE stakeholder reporting on engineering capacity, velocity, scalability, and roadmap progress Lead engineering workstreams tied to acquisitions and multi‑brand platform convergence Required Qualifications

10–15+ years of progressive technical experience, including senior engineering leadership roles (Director, VP, or equivalent) Demonstrated success leading engineering teams at scale through periods of rapid growth and platform evolution Deep architectural expertise across service architecture, APIs, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization Proven experience implementing and maturing engineering excellence practices (SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, QA automation) Strong hands‑on Salesforce platform background (Apex, LWC, integrations, data model) Experience leading organizational change, including transitioning away from third‑party or outsourced engineering models Exceptional executive communication skills with experience presenting to C‑suite, boards, and PE stakeholders Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, or equivalent) Background in workforce management, staffing, HCM, payroll, or labor compliance platforms Familiarity with live events, sports, media, entertainment, or production‑oriented platforms Experience managing distributed and offshore engineering teams across time zones
