
Corporate Tax Manager

The Corporate Tax Manager will be part of the Corporate Tax Solutions team, responsible for corporate tax compliance, income tax provision (ASC 740), and tax planning for large, multi‑state and global clients. This role involves managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and collaborating with internal tax specialists to deliver high‑quality tax solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple tax engagements from planning through completion
Oversee corporate tax compliance and review tax returns for accuracy and optimization
Prepare and review ASC 740 income tax provisions and support audits
Supervise, train, and mentor associates and senior associates
Identify opportunities for expanding services with existing clients
Research complex tax issues and provide technical guidance
Respond to IRS, state, and local tax authority inquiries
Maintain strong client relationships and understand business operations
Utilize tax software to prepare and process returns
Ensure compliance with professional standards and confidentiality
Must‑Have Requirements
Active CPA (Georgia) or reciprocity eligibility OR JD with active law license
4‑7+ years of progressive tax compliance or tax consulting experience
Strong experience in corporate tax & ASC 740 (provision preparation, review, or audit)
Recent experience with Top 15 public accounting firms
Experience supporting large, multi‑state
ational/global organizations
Willingness to work onsite 3 days per week
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (OTP)
Professional Services background
Industry exposure (Manufacturing, Technology, Pharma, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Telecom, Transportation, etc.)
Stable career progression (no frequent job changes every 1‑2 years)
Candidates currently in industry who transitioned from public accounting within the last 2‑3 years
Core Competencies
Strong knowledge of US GAAP & corporate tax regulations
Experience with multi‑state taxation, international tax, and transfer pricing
Excellent analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication, client management, and leadership skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required)
