Position Summary
The Colorado Rockies are seeking a Digital Content Creator to create engaging, platform‑driven video content that elevates the club’s digital storytelling and fan engagement. This role works closely with RockiesVision and reports directly to the Manager, RockiesVision Post Productions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with RockiesVision production staff on video creation, editing, and post‑production workflows across club platforms
Report to the Manager, RockiesVision Post Productions while collaborating with the Sr. Manager of Digital Communications to execute digital and social content initiatives
Ideate, produce, shoot, and edit video content optimized for digital and social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X
Capture game action, live moments, and breaking news during games and team events, producing timely edits for distribution across club channels
Film games, workouts, press conferences, community initiatives, player features, and behind‑the‑scenes moments
Collaborate with the Social Media team to ensure video content aligns with platform trends, publishing strategies, tone, and audience engagement goals
Assist RockiesVision production staff with in‑game entertainment elements, broadcast features, and larger‑scale production shoots as needed
Produce short‑form and long‑form video content designed to maximize performance across digital platforms
Support day‑to‑day digital coverage including video editing, graphics integration, and social content support as needed
Monitor emerging social media trends, platform updates, and digital storytelling formats to inform creative content development
Track content performance metrics and apply insights to help optimize future content strategies
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Graphic Design, Corporate Partnerships, Ticketing, Community Relations, Communications, and Marketing teams to produce customized content supporting club initiatives
Assist with organizing, maintaining, and archiving video assets within RockiesVision media management systems
Contribute creative concepts and video assets to support additional club initiatives including marketing campaigns, advertising, and editorial storytelling
Maintain Colorado Rockies brand standards and production quality across all digital video content
Job Requirements
Applicants must submit a reel, portfolio, or examples of prior video work; applications without supporting work samples will not be considered
Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience producing video content for digital or social media platforms, preferably within sports or sports media
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop
Strong understanding of post‑production workflows including codecs, formats, and media management
Working knowledge of music licensing requirements and usage guidelines
Experience with visual storytelling techniques
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced production environment
Ability to work quickly and effectively in real‑time content environments, including live sports coverage
Deep understanding of major social media platforms and best practices for optimizing video performance
Knowledge of professional baseball and interest in sports culture, entertainment, and digital storytelling
Experience operating professional camera equipment, particularly Sony camera systems and accessories
Experience shooting and editing baseball games, practices, or related sports content preferred
Familiarity with content management or media asset management systems preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Production, Public Relations, or a related field required
Spanish language proficiency is a plus
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
During Spring Training, the regular season, and postseason (February–October), work hours are non‑traditional and include frequent evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of game coverage and club events. Travel may be required up to 30% during the season.
During the offseason (November–January), work hours are generally traditional business hours with occasional exceptions for special events and club initiatives.
Salary Range
Annual salary range of $55,000‑$60,000. This is a regular‑status, full‑time, Non‑Exempt position.
Compensation will be contingent upon work experience, education, job‑related skills, and other factors considered relevant to the hiring decision.
