Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a UI/UX Designer 1 . The work will be done onsite in Mossville, IL. This is a long‑term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $34/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support the design and delivery of user‑centered digital experiences across a variety of platforms and applications. This role focuses on understanding user needs, translating business requirements into intuitive interface designs, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to create consistent, high‑quality user experiences. The designer will contribute to research, design validation, and usability improvements while supporting ongoing product and customer experience initiatives. This position offers exposure to large‑scale digital ecosystems and the opportunity to influence end‑to‑end user experience strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business analysts, product teams, and engineers to gather and understand user and business requirements
Design user interface specifications and user experiences using tools such as Figma and other UX/UI platforms
Participate in design reviews, usability testing, and business acceptance testing to validate solutions
Support user research activities, including personas, journey mapping, and customer insights
Contribute to continuous improvement of UX methodologies, standards, and design processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, UX Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
0–2 years of experience in UX/UI design or related field
Experience using design tools such as Figma (required), Sketch, or similar
Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles and usability best practices
Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate design concepts effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with user research methods, personas, and journey mapping
Exposure to working with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
