Responsibilities Job Summary:
A Sales Lead will be responsible for applying advanced skills in procedures and techniques specific to area of specialization. May carry out supervisory responsibilities. Order assigned products to maximize sales. Possess and convey a culinary level of food expertise. Work under minimal supervision and from detailed verbal and written instructions. Apply accepted guidelines, rules and procedures to decisions. Continually monitor and immediately address problems. Make sound decisions on everyday issues and problems. Requires specific product knowledge depending on the Department.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Assist in ordering
May assist in writing weekly Department schedule
Identify and address high priority activities first
Communicate clear expectations for assignments
Delegate responsibility to appropriate Partners
Provide excellent customer service
Maintain operating effectiveness
Ensure that all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met
Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control
Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales
Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales

5+ years 5-8 years experience - Required
Previous retail/restaurant experience - Required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment - Required
Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation is essential - Required
Strong customer service skills - Required
Passion for food - Required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Required
Ability to work in fast paced environment - Required
Ability to work in extreme temperatures - Required
Education:
Licenses/Certifications:
Materials Handling Equipment certification - Required
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs
