Business Development Representative (Columbus)
Base Salary: $55,000 + Commission (OTE $70,000)
Raymond Storage Concepts is a leading provider of customized material handling solutions, focused on helping our customers optimize their warehouses and fleets. We serve Ohio, Kentucky, Southeast Indiana, and West Virginia as an authorized sales and service center for The Raymond Corporation—a global leader in material handling technology and support. Headquartered in Cincinnati, we operate through a network of regional locations, including Columbus and Louisville.
Position Overview The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a key role in growing our customer base and expanding market share within an assigned territory. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities and connecting prospective customers with our sales team. You’ll work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager and local Field Sales Manager to identify prospects, build relationships, and create qualified opportunities for our sales team.

Raymond lift trucks
Aftermarket service and parts (Raymond and non-Raymond equipment)
Industrial batteries and charging systems
Warehouse and material handling solutions
What You’ll Do
Prospect for new business opportunities by phone, email, and in-person visits
Travel within your assigned territory to meet with potential customers
Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
Schedule meetings between prospects and sales representatives
Maintain accurate prospect data in the CRM system
Use business intelligence tools and reports to plan prospecting strategies
Collaborate with the sales team in a dynamic, team‑based selling environment
Participate in ride‑alongs with experienced sales reps to learn strategies and techniques
Assist with quotes and proposals by working with vendors and internal teams
Manage your schedule across CRM activities, calls, and field visits
Attend product and service training sessions
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Self‑motivated, competitive, and eager to learn
Organized with good time‑management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Comfortable using navigation and mapping tools
