Job Description The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a Camp Director at Camp Florence Transitional Facility in Florence, Oregon. The role provides a unique opportunity to lead a small, dynamic residential transition program for youth ages 16–24 as they prepare to successfully re-enter their communities.
The Camp Director oversees all aspects of operations in a 24/7 environment, including youth services, staff supervision, community engagement, safety, and equity-centered leadership. The position establishes and coordinates youth work programs in partnership with public agencies and private employers, provides ongoing accountability to staff, supports the creation and maintenance of a Positive Human Development (PHD) environment, and ensures safety and security standards are consistently upheld.
Top Duties of the Position
Establish and maintain positive community relations through program promotion and communication.
Establish and coordinate youth work programs with public agencies and private employers to provide employment opportunities.
Provide ongoing accountability to staff to meet facility service expectations and maintain a PHD environment while ensuring safety and security measures are upheld.
Minimum Qualifications Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR two years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Proven communication skills working with multiple internal and external stakeholders and community partners.
Administrative level experience managing 24/7 operations.
Demonstrated leadership skills to build support of team, youth, and community.
