
HR Generalist/Assistant (Bilingual in Mandarin)

Overview
Bodorlaser Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist or HR Assistant to join our growing HR team. This role will support a wide range of HR functions across the U.S. and Canada and work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
Administer payroll and employee benefits programs for U.S. and Canadian employees in coordination with internal teams and vendors Manage employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disability Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures Support recruitment efforts, including sourcing strategies, job postings, and participation in job fairs and community events Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes, including new hire orientation and documentation Assist with the implementation and optimization of HR systems and tools Support the development and coordination of employee training and development programs Assist with employment-based immigration and visa administration Support with the review and update of HR policies, procedures, and internal documentation Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience Support performance management and organizational initiatives as needed Perform other HR-related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field Prior experience in Human Resources or a related function Bilingual proficiency in
English and Mandarin Chinese
(written and verbal) Working knowledge of U.S. (and preferably Canadian) employment laws and HR practices Familiarity with HR processes including benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations Experience with HRIS systems and HR tools Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity Ability to support cross-time-zone communication with global teams (including China) Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in an HR role. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required. Location
