Our client, an apparel manufacturing company, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in
Secaucus, NJ!
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain detailed tech packs including measurements, construction details, and materials
Evaluate samples and provide clear, concise fit and construction comments
Lead and participate in fit sessions, assessing fit, balance, and overall garment appearance
Document and communicate fit comments and revisions to cross-functional teams and vendors
Track and implement corrections throughout the development process to ensure consistency and accuracy
Collaborate with factories to resolve technical issues and ensure proper execution of design intent
Follow up with vendors on sample status, revisions, and approvals to maintain development timelines
Ensure all garments meet brand standards for fit, quality, and construction before production
Support continuous improvement of fit standards, grading, and technical processes
Qualifications
Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and fit
Ability to analyze fit issues and communicate solutions effectively
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience working with overseas factories and managing sample development is preferred
Proficiency in technical design tools and software
