
Pricing Analyst

Under general supervision, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and running models to assist in providing quantitative pricing analysis and helps implement key tactics that support service pricing strategies and profit strategies for assigned end markets and customers.
Responsibilities
Develop pricing proposals for customers through analysis of costs associated with logistics/ transportation services.
Ensure that the pricing provided falls in line with the initial corporate strategy relative to a successful award of the business and is within suitable profit margin
Maintain effective pricing strategies and market evaluations through analysis of market and industry trends
Analyze the impact of pricing on profit and loss and cost management based on AR/AP
Work closely with Finance and Sales to develop customized pricing programs with an overall goal of increasing volume and revenue share while managing yield in order to effectively maximize revenue.
Utilize financial data, models and market data to develop customer‑specific financial analysis and make the appropriate pricing recommendations and decisions.
Assists in analyzing business problems of medium to high complexity and preparing relevant recommendations for management.
Provides financial analysis with a strong understanding of Profit and Loss statements.
Prepares write‑ups and presentations for management with respect to the items above.
Demonstrates the potential to work on pricing‑related project teams to support our pricing infrastructure with the goal of building and maintaining world‑class pricing systems and models.
Must possess strong communication and analytical skills, and have the ability to self‑manage one’s own workload and task assignments.
Will have the opportunity to support the development of advanced tools, scientific models and statistical reports. May also develop decision support systems for supporting the above in appropriate software and computer language (e.g., Excel, Access, SAS, C, SQL, Java, VB.net).
Skills/Qualifications
2 – 5 years of general business or finance experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required
Experience in the Logistics/Supply Chain Management Industry Preferred
Analytical skills required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (vlookups and pivot tables)
Ability to write queries required
Ability to give clear oral and written instructions and have the ability to train and lead employees.
Organized, detail‑oriented, good follow up skills
Ability to prioritize and multi‑task, know when to elevate and seek assistance
