Position Summary Reporting to the Manager of North American Mint Procurement, this exempt level position supports procurement of peppermint and spearmint essential oils from farmers across the Pacific Northwest region. The primary contact between ADM and mint farmers, the role is responsible for procuring high‑quality mint oil that meets ADM’s quality standards, monitoring crop health throughout the season, and overseeing the process from planting through harvest and distillation.

Responsibilities

Grower Relationship Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective growers.

Contracting & Negotiation: Negotiate and execute mint oil contracts, ensuring fair pricing, volume needs, and quality standards for both parties.

Logistics and Procurement Monitoring: Track crop progress, estimate harvest yields, and coordinate pickup of oil from farm distilleries to ADM facilities.

Agronomic Support: Conduct regular field visits to inspect crop health, provide technical guidance on best practices, and ensure proper harvest/distillation techniques.

Market Analysis & Reporting: Provide regular reports on crop conditions, weather impacts, and market trends to internal procurement management.

Quality Control: Ensure all incoming mint oil complies with ADM and industry standards.

ERP Capability: Use ERP systems to enter contracts, purchase orders, and manage oil receipts; pull purchase information as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an agribusiness‑related field preferred; 2‑5 years of agriculture experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation Base pay offered may vary depending on location, experience, and skill level. Pay range for this position is expected to be between $54,600.00 and $102,000.00. Employees may be eligible for a salaried incentive plan and an annual bonus.
