This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kalamazoo, MI for the Director of Education and Community Engagement. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and leading education and community programs, developing music education curricula, fostering connections with community organizations, and supporting young musicians’ development. Additional responsibilities include overseeing educational initiatives, managing program budgets, supervising team members, and ensuring programs align with the organization’s mission of expanding access to symphonic music. Qualifications
Expertise in Curriculum Development and Program Development Proven experience in Education and Educational Leadership roles Strong Coaching skills for individual and group development Exceptional organizational and project management skills Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders Knowledge of or experience in the performing arts is highly desirable Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Music, Arts Administration, or a related field Commitment to community engagement and a passion for music education
