
Mechanical Systems Designer

We’re partnering with a growing, relationship-driven company in the mechanical systems / HVAC space that is building out its next generation team! This is a career-launching role for someone who is hungry, technically curious, and ready to get hands‑on across design, sales, and customer interaction. This is not a “sit behind a desk” job. You’ll be in the middle of real projects—designing systems, building quotes, working with customers, and helping close deals.
What You’ll Be Doing:
This role blends design + technical problem solving + sales execution: Design residential and light commercial systems (including snow/ice melt and hydronic heating) Translate customer ideas into practical, cost-effective system designs Build material lists and develop quotes Work directly with customers to refine solutions and win business Follow up on active projects to ensure deals close (no cold calling—relationship‑driven) Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturers to optimize solutions Manage a pipeline of projects with varying sales cycles (days to months) Must-Haves:
Mechanically inclined (HVAC, automotive, construction, engineering, etc.) Strong curiosity around how systems work Comfortable learning technical design tools and software Willingness to wear multiple hats (design, sales, customer support) High follow-through and accountability Nice to Have:
HVAC or mechanical systems experience Exposure to hydronic heating systems Mechanical engineering or construction-related background Experience transitioning from field work into design Why this Role:
